What is your nationality/how do you identify?
I identify as a Black woman.

What or who has been your biggest cultural influence?
My biggest cultural influence is my family. They have shaped who I am and how I walk in this world, especially as a Black woman.

What is your favorite cultural dish?
Baked mac and cheese, green chile chicken enchiladas and red chile cheese enchiladas (What can I say? I was born and raised in New Mexico).

What would you like people to know about your culture?
I would like people to know that my culture is more than slavery and MLK. There are so many resources available these days if people are willing to take the time to learn about what makes my culture so beautiful.

What is a fun fact about yourself?
I love going to karaoke but was always shy about singing, I took voice lessons to help me get over my fear.
